Parallax features should be used sparingly as a way to highlight information and break up features on a page. It can be used on landing pages and general pages.
Adding a parallax
Go to the page where you want to add a gallery and click in to edit.
Scroll to the “Page components” section and click on the arrow. Click Add Parallax.
This first section should only be used to add a small image on the right of the parallax. We do not recommend this because it covers your background image.
Step 1: Add Title and Description
Add a Title and a Description. Both will appear as text on your parallax image. Keep our description under 50 words.
Step 2: Add Call to Action
If you have one, add a CTA (call to action) link. You can copy and paste a URL to an outside site or begin typing in the name of a site on your page to find the one you are looking for.
Step 3: Add Background Image
Click on the Browse button and select the image you wish to upload.
Your image must be 1880 pixels wide and no more than 1000 pixels tall. Because such a high resolution image is needed, work with the Office of Communications and Marketing to find one that will display properly.
Once you have finished this last step, scroll down and save your page.
If you decide you no longer want a parallax, click the Remove button at the top right of the parallax component
