To achieve this, a comprehensive set of criteria for the selection of Web Ambassadors has been established.
These individuals will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing web content, ensuring alignment with the University's brand, mission, vision, and values.
Requirements
Professional Affiliation
Must be a current employee of the University within the department or unit associated with the respective website with an active ULID. This ensures a deep understanding of the department's objectives and content needs.
Technical Comfort & Readiness
- Comfortable learning and using web editing tools within the University’s content management system.
- Willingness to explore new technology and follow step-by-step guidance for updating content.
- Understands the importance of maintaining an accessible website and is open to learning best practices that support all users.
- Able to troubleshoot basic issues (like fixing typos, updating links, or replacing a photo) with confidence or knows when to reach out for support.
- Maintains a proactive and detail-oriented mindset, recognizing that web content must be clear, accurate, and user-friendly.
- Participates in initial and ongoing training sessions and refers to available documentation and help resources as needed.
- Collaborates effectively with the Office of Communications and Marketing (OCM) Web Team when questions or issues arise.
Communication Skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.

- Aware of privacy considerations and FERPA guidelines in content creation.
