Find Your Place in the Pride of Acadiana.
Whether you're majoring in music or just love to perform, there's a place for you in the Pride of Acadiana. Our ensemble is open to students of all majors who demonstrate musical ability, spirit, and commitment.
Music Majors
Planning to major in music? Your School of Music audition can also serve as your marching band audition.
Here’s how:
When you fill out the School of Music Audition/Scholarship Application, check "Marching Band" under the Ensemble Interest section.
Your audition will count toward both your program acceptance and your Pride of Acadiana placement.

Non-Music Majors
You don’t have to be a music major to march with the Pride! We welcome students from all academic disciplines.
To join:
- Fill out the Pride of Acadiana Scholarship Application
- Schedule your audition by calling the Band Department at 337-482-5157
Non-majors follow the same audition process as music majors, but you may bring your scale sheet to the audition.
