The UL Lafayette Chorale is the University’s premier Tenor/Bass vocal ensemble, open to students of all majors and experience levels—no audition or prior music-reading ability required.
This ensemble performs a diverse and exciting repertoire, from choral masterworks to global and contemporary selections. Chorale frequently collaborates with the UL Symphony Orchestra, UL Wind Ensemble, and fellow vocal groups like the Chamber Singers and Vermilion Voix, giving members the chance to be part of large-scale, high-impact performances.
Ensemble Highlights
- Open enrollment—no audition required
- Performs 3–5 times per year, including major concerts and collaborations
- Rehearses Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 2:30–3:45 p.m.
- Scholarships are available for students with strong vocal and sight-reading skills
- Fulfills ensemble credit for music majors and minors
