Vermilion Voix

A bold voice for soprano and alto singers.

Formed in 2015, Vermilion Voix is UL Lafayette’s soprano/alto choir, open to all students—regardless of major—who sing in the soprano or alto vocal range. This dynamic ensemble performs a wide range of choral literature, from classical works to global and contemporary pieces, offering a supportive and empowering space for vocalists to grow their technique and confidence.

Ensemble Highlights

  • No audition required—register and sing!

  • Rehearsals held Monday & Wednesday, 4 – 5:15 p.m.

  • Presents 2–5 performances per semester

  • Open to undergraduate and graduate students from any degree program

  • Scholarships are available for students with strong vocal and sight-reading skills

  • Fulfills ensemble credit for music majors and minors

If you sing soprano or alto and want to join a collaborative, high-energy choir, Vermilion Voix welcomes you. 

Students who are interested should feel free to register for the course AMUS 144, and upper-level students can register for AMUS 344.
