UL Lafayette Opera Theater is the University’s premier ensemble for opera and musical theatre performance. Designed for students who want to bring their voice, acting, and stage presence to the next level, the program offers professional-level productions and in-depth training in voice, movement, acting, and repertoire.
Whether you’re pursuing a career in performance or are passionate about the stage, Opera Theater provides the opportunity to turn classroom learning into fully realized live productions.

- Regular collaborations with the UL Lafayette Symphony Orchestra and Acadiana Symphony Orchestra

Opera Theater is open to voice students and talented performers by audition. Scholarships are awarded based on audition results and participation in productions.
