Music Performance Locations

Where music comes to life.

The School of Music at UL Lafayette is home to several premier performance spaces where students, faculty, and guest artists share their work with the campus and community. Each venue is designed to support live music and theatrical experiences, from intimate recitals to large ensemble productions.

Below are our primary performance locations, directions, and key details to help you plan your visit.

Angelle Hall

Location: 601 E. St. Mary Blvd., Lafayette, LA
Capacity: ~120 seats

Angelle Hall is the heart of our School of Music and the most frequently used space for student recitals, chamber concerts, faculty performances, and guest artist events. With excellent acoustics and a professional Steinway piano, this venue provides an ideal setting for intimate musical performances.

Parking is available nearby in Girard Park Circle lots. Evening and weekend events typically offer free public parking.

Burke-Hawthorne Theatre

Location: Burke-Hawthorne Hall, 231 Hebrard Blvd., Lafayette, LA
Capacity: ~300 seats

Home to many of our Opera Theater and musical theatre productions, Burke-Hawthorne Theatre features a full stage, lighting system, backstage areas, and seating designed for theatrical performances. It’s used in collaboration with the School of Dance and Theatre and offers a dynamic setting for large-scale productions.

Rehearsal Spaces & Additional Venues

Some ensemble rehearsals and occasional performances also take place in:

  • Angelle Hall Band Room – Large ensemble rehearsals and informal concerts
  • University Concert Venues or Outdoor Spaces – Select performances may be held at campus or community events, festivals, or off-site venues through partnerships with local arts organizations.
