Is the University still accepting admissions applications?

Undergraduate applications will be accepted through July 31. Learn more about undergraduate admissions.

I’m not ready to start school this fall. May I defer my admission to UL Lafayette to a later start date?

Yes, students can defer admission to a later semester if they wish. Contact Admissions for more information.

Will the COVID-19 response affect UL Lafayette’s view of transfer applicants?

There is currently no change to the transfer student application and enrollment process.

Can prospective students register for a tour and information session?

On-site campus tours are offered on weekdays and select Saturdays.

If you'd rather have a tour from the comfort of your home, you can experience our campus online through our virtual tour.

Will UL Lafayette continue to require either SAT or ACT given recent test cancelations?

ACT and SAT tests are still required as part of the admissions process. Students who have not taken an ACT/SAT or students whose scores do not meet our minimum requirements should contact Admissions to discuss options.

Are graduate programs still requiring the GRE or GMAT?

A selection of UL Lafayette graduate programs have suspended the GRE application requirement. See the list of programs on the Graduate School website.

I'm an international student and testing centers are closed in my country. Is there an alternative to taking the TOEFL, IELTS, or PTE?

We can temporarily accept Duolingo scores for admissions purposes for Fall 2021. For more information, contact intladmissions@louisiana.edu.
