Requirements

To be admitted to UL Lafayette, you must meet the minimum requirements:

  • 18 ACT English/500 SAT Evidence-Based Reading & Writing/ 250 Accuplacer Writing or 3.0 Overall high school GPA (unweighted)
  • 19 ACT Math/ 510 SAT Math/ 250 Accuplacer QAS Math or 3.0 Overall high school GPA (unweighted)
  • 2.5 cumulative GPA (unweighted)
  • Official proof of English language proficiency

Don't meet the requirements?

If you do not meet the criteria for guaranteed admission, you can be considered individually for admission by committee.

Admission by committee is by invitation only. If you are eligible for admission by committee, the Office of Admissions will contact you after you’ve submitted an application.

When you complete your application, you will also be required to submit these forms.

Chronological Record of Education

List all of your educational and work history on the Chronological Record of Education form.

Confidential Financial Guarantee

Fill out the Confidential Financial Guarantee form. Submit it along with a current bank statement.

You don’t have to submit this form if you are a refugee or permanent resident.

Copy of Your Passport

After you submit your application, you will need to provide a copy of your passport.

Immunization Form

All students must submit an immunization form before you can register for classes. You can submit it at the same time or after your admissions application.

You must be screened for tuberculosis (TB) and be immunized against measles, mumps, rubella, tetanus-diphtheria.

You are able to submit electronic versions of these forms when you fill out your application online.

Test Scores & Transcripts

Official Test Scores

Log in to your student account on the testing services’ websites to send your scores to UL Lafayette’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions:

  • ACT test code: 1612
  • SAT test code: 6672
  • TOEFL test code: 6672
  • PTE Academic: Send to “University of Louisiana at Lafayette”
  • IELTS: Scores must be sent to University of Louisiana, Lafayette directly from the testing center
  • Duolingo: University of Louisiana at Lafayette (please select UNDERGRADAUTE if sending to undergraduate admissions)

Transcripts & Academic Records

Submit official or certified true copies of all secondary academic records, transcripts, notes, and/or mark sheets from foreign institutions and U.S. schools.
