Kierra Berry is a dedicated student who believes her admirable work ethics will pay off soon. She is currently a registered nurse (RN) specializing in geriatric-psychiatry in Mississippi and has no plans to slow down. Kierra decided to attend the University of Louisiana at Lafayette because the RN to BSN Online program provided her with the support she needed for her lifestyle, “I chose to obtain my Bachelor of Science in nursing because I want to further my education, and I am fervid in enhancing the holistic care of my patients," she said.
The RN to BSN Online program prides itself on offering students the flexibility and opportunity they need to succeed along with offering online tutoring.
“UL Lafayette was able to accommodate my work schedule. I am able to work full-time and be a full-time student.”
Kierra also decided to branch out and connect with others by joining the Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society of Nursing. She said, “The society has multiple webinars that provide me with up-to-date information in the nursing world."
Her favorite course is Statistics instructed by Professor Kimball, “I am a sophomore in Mr. James Kimball class. This is my favorite class because he makes distant learning an experience worthy of learning. His classroom videos are structured to perfection,” Kierra said.
Kierra is determined to turn all her dreams into a reality to better her future and take even better care of her patients.
“After graduation, I plan to further my education and apply for graduate school. I will utilize my degree in the nursing field, and I will have an increase in pay rate and be more qualified for other job positions.”
