The deadline to submit photos for the Wear Red competition at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette is being extended due to university closures last week.
To enter this year’s Wear Red competition, simply submit a high-resolution digital photograph of your group wearing red on Aug. 29, along with a note indicating the total number of people wearing red and the number of people employed by your business.
Submissions can be sent via email to WearRed@louisiana.edu. The new deadline is Sept. 15.
Photos of all participating teams will be displayed on the giant scoreboard at home football games throughout the season.
Businesses and schools can also compete in a new Wear Red slogan contest. The most creative Wear Red slogan or catch phrase that is displayed at the business or school location will be recognized. To enter this competition, just submit a photo of the slogan on the company sign and email it to WearRed@louisiana.edu.
The deadline for the slogan photo submissions has also been extended to Sept. 15.
