The University of Louisiana at Lafayette is accepting applications for its online graduate certificate program geared toward people with MBA degrees who envision careers in health care administration.

Courses will begin in August for UL Lafayette’s post-MBA health care administration graduate certificate program, which will be offered via online delivery for the first time. The graduate certificate program can also be completed via on-campus learning.

It is the only post-MBA health care administration graduate certificate program in Louisiana. Courses begin each January, March, June, August and October. Students complete 15 credit hours of coursework and two internships with health care organizations.

Students who pursue the certificate will take the same health care administration courses as students who pursue the University’s MBA in Health Care Administration.

“The curriculum provides the knowledge and training necessary for students to become leaders in health care systems of tomorrow, giving them the skills they need to successfully manage the complex intersection of business and health care,” said Robert Viguerie, the B.I. Moody III College of Business Administration’s associate dean for graduate and executive programs.
