International business publication CEO Magazine again rates the University of Louisiana at Lafayette’s MBA programs among the world’s best as part of its 2025 Global MBA Rankings and Online MBA Rankings.

CEO Magazine ranked UL Lafayette’s online MBA degree program No. 62, up one spot from last year’s rankings; it also recognized the University’s traditional MBA program on its unranked list of Tier 1 schools, the publication’s highest designation. Just 131 institutions made the Tier 1 cut. The traditional and online MBA programs feature the same curriculum taught by University faculty.

The publication develops its rankings each year based on a range of factors to help students considering an MBA make their enrollment decisions, according to its website.

“We look beyond the marketing brochures and ad campaigns and examine the nuts and bolts of an MBA: the learning environment, class sizes, tuition & fees, faculty, delivery methods, international diversity, gender parity, and more,” the publication says on its website. “Our objective is simple: to identify schools that marry exceptional quality with great ROI.”

Robert Viguerie Jr., the B.I. Moody III College of Business Administration’s associate dean for Graduate and Executive programs, said the recognition is a testament to the college’s emphasis on student success, both in the classroom and beyond.

“Our faculty and staff make students their No. 1 priority in everything they do,” he said. “Students walk away from each course with knowledge of the theories and principles behind the content and with practical skills that they can immediately apply in their careers.”

Alumni also laud the program for its support. Ryan Owens, who completed the MBA online in 2023, said access to faculty and staff alike was pivotal in his experience.

“The staff and instructors were extremely helpful with anything I needed while I was in the MBA program,” he said. “If anyone is looking to get their MBA, I would suggest coming to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette because you’re going to get an experience that exceeds your expectations.”
