Two University of Louisiana at Lafayette seniors' sales pitch earned them a top-10 spot in national competition last weekend.
Jessica Clark, who is majoring in public relations, and Megan Martin, a marketing major, competed in the National Collegiate Sales Competition. They finished fourth among teams representing 65 universities. Dr. Duleep Delpechitre, a UL Lafayette professor of marketing, is the team's coach.
The annual contest, which was held at Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Ga., is one of the oldest business-school competitions.
The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire took first place. Kennesaw State University and the University of Central Florida took second and third place, respectively. UL Lafayette was one of three Louisiana schools that participated, including Nicholls State University and Louisiana State University.
