UL Lafayette Celebrating Retailers With Visits March 12, 13

The University of Louisiana at Lafayette Office of Communications and Marketing is hosting the university’s annual Retailers Appreciation Tour on March 12 and 13. There will be free food, drinks and t-shirts for participants. A limited number of seats are still available.

A university bus, packed with energetic fans will visit local retailers to thank them for supporting the Ragin’ Cajuns®. These fans will have an opportunity to win Ragin’ Cajuns® apparel at each stop of the tour. The event will conclude on Saturday with admission to a UL Lafayette baseball game.

“ The tour has become a great way for fans to celebrate being a Ragin’ Cajun,” said Matthew Tarver, assistant director for Trademark Licensing. “Each year, we have contests and giveaways on the bus during the tour and at each stop of the tour.”

On March 12, the tour will begin at the Alumni Center at 7:30 a.m. with breakfast. Tour members will board a bus at about 7:45 a.m. to visit approximately seven retailers. The tour will return to the Alumni Center and conclude with lunch around 12:30 p.m.

On March 13, fans will meet at 8:15 a.m. under the pavilion at Lourdes Park, located in front of baseball’s Tigue Moore Field. Breakfast will be served. The bus will depart at 8:30 a.m. and fans will visit six retailers. Lunch will be provided.

The group will attend the UL Lafayette baseball game at 2 p.m. Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajuns® will face conference foe Arkansas State.
