The University of Louisiana at Lafayette conferred 262 degrees during its Summer 2026 Commencement on Friday at the Cajundome.
Among those degrees are 164 bachelor’s degrees, 73 master’s degrees, 17 doctoral degrees and eight postbaccalaureate certificates. Summer 2026 graduates represent 34 Louisiana parishes; 12 states; and 12 countries.
“People often say graduation is the end of one chapter and the beginning of another. I think it's something better. Something bigger. I think it's proof. Proof that perseverance matters. Proof that small decisions shape big outcomes. Proof that you are capable of more than you imagined,” Dr. Ramesh Kolluru, UL Lafayette president, told graduates.
The summer ceremony marked the end of the 2025-2026 academic year. UL Lafayette awarded a total of 3,125 degrees to its fall, spring and summer graduating classes. That overall total includes 2,300 bachelor’s degrees, 719 master’s degrees and 83 doctoral degrees.
It also includes five undergraduate certificates, six post-master’s certificates and 12 post-baccalaureate certificates.
