The University of Louisiana at Lafayette conferred 305 degrees during its Summer 2025 Commencement on Friday at the Cajundome.
Among those degrees are 168 bachelor’s degrees, 107 master’s degrees, 23 doctoral degrees and seven graduate certificates. Summer 2025 graduates represent 33 Louisiana parishes; 17 states and U.S. territories; and 11 countries.
The summer ceremony marked the end of the 2024-2025 academic year. UL Lafayette awarded a total of 2,936 degrees to its fall, spring and summer graduating classes.
That overall total includes 2,164 bachelor’s degrees, 658 master’s degrees and 81 doctoral degrees. It also includes three undergraduate certificates, five post-master’s certificates, seven post-baccalaureate certificates and 18 graduate certificates. In addition, 30 students earned undergraduate degrees with perfect 4.0 GPAs.
“You’ve earned this moment and all that comes with it. Every late night, every tough decision, every bit of perseverance that brought you here. And while you may be stepping out of one chapter, you’re beginning another that holds even greater possibilities,” Dr. Joseph Savoie, UL Lafayette president emeritus, told graduates.
