Think Pink Breast Cancer Awareness Game and Canned Goods Food Drive

The Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns softball team will host LSU-Alexandria and Lamar University in a pair of fall exhibition games this weekend at Lamson Park, seeking wins and to support two good causes.

The Cajuns will meet LSU-Alexandria at noon Saturday, Oct. 12, in the "Think Pink Breast Cancer Awareness Game" and Lamar at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13.

The "Think Pink Breast Cancer Awareness Game" will take place on "Fight Like A Girl Cancer Awareness Day.” Fans can show their support by wearing pink to the game.

The Cajuns softball team also will sell pink "Fight Like A Girl" T-shirts in honor of all family and friends who have battled cancer. Monetary donations also will be accepted at the gate.

The Ragin’ Cajuns welcome all cancer survivors to attend a pregame ceremony at 11:30 a.m., when they will be honored on the field.

On Sunday, the team will host a canned goods food drive in conjunction with the Second Harvest Food Bank of Greater New Orleans and Acadiana.

Fans are encouraged to bring canned goods, which will be accepted at the gate, along with monetary donations.
