Pride of Acadiana Performing in Great Britain

The Pride of Acadiana Marching Band from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette will be traveling overseas for a special concert tour this week.

Ninety players from the band will perform concerts in the Ross Amphitheater at the historic Edinburgh Castle and Embankment Gardens Park next to the Thames River in Central London.

The concerts are part of the Edinburgh Spring Festival that is held annually at Easter.

The group will leave Lafayette April 8 and will tour London, Oxford, Edinburgh and York over seven days. Each member going paid for 90 percent of the cost through fund raising, gifts and donations.
