Brigadier General Patrice Melançon is the executive director of the Tyndall Air Force Base Reconstruction Program Management Office, where she’s is in charge of the team that’s rebuilding the base after Hurricane Michael destroyed it in 2018. 

In this Q&A from Airman Magazine, Brig. Gen. Melançon discusses the project and the process she's overseeing.

Brig. Gen. Melançon and her team plan to create the “base of the future” with this redesign. She will lead the effort to improve buildings’ safety, environmental impact, and overall function.
