Kennan Guillory, assistant director with Parking and Transit at UL Lafayette, is the latest recipient of the Ragin Cajun’ Spirit Award.
It recognizes a university employee who exemplifies the enthusiasm and spirit of Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajuns. The award was created and originally funded by the late Mr. Sid Ory, a former president of the UL Lafayette Alumni Association and the man credited with coining the term “Ragin’ Cajuns.”
Nominations are accepted from any university employee.
The selection committee takes into consideration someone who:
• participates in spirit activities,
• is visible in their support of the University,
• is proud of their University and shares that pride,
• consistently goes above and beyond and,
• maintains and shares a positive attitude.
The Ragin’ Cajun Spirit Award includes a $500 stipend for the recipient and a commemorative plaque. The award is traditionally announced at the University Employees’ Christmas Luncheon.
