Four Students Earn Perfect GPAs for Top Honors

Four students from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette will be honored for perfect 4.0 grade point averages during Fall commencement exercises on Dec. 19.

The four are UL Lafayette’s top graduates for the Fall 2009 semester. They include:

• Erin Alexis Bertrand, daughter of Roy and Jodie Bertrand of Abbeville. Bertrand will receive a Bachelor of Science degree from the Ray P. Authement College of Sciences. She majored in chemistry with a minor in biology.

• Ruth Madeleine Diaz, daughter of James and Marie Diaz of Lafayette. Diaz will receive a Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of Liberal Arts. She majored in English with a minor in theater.

• Trae Paul Fitzgerald, son of Frank Fitzgerald and Jodie and Eddie Gerard of Lafayette. Fitzgerald will receive a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from the B.I. Moody III College of Business Administration. He majored in accounting.

• Angelle Austin Wyman, daughter of Joiclyn Austin and the late Curtis Austin of Opelousas. Wyman will receive a Bachelor of Science degree from the College of Education. She majored in early childhood education with a concentration on PK-3.
