Five 4.0 Students Recognized During Commencement

Five students from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette were honored for perfect 4.0 grade point averages during Fall commencement exercises on Dec 20.

The five were UL Lafayette’s top graduates for the Fall 2008 semester. They include:

• Louise Strini Carl, daughter of Gert Carl of Vallensbaek, Denmark. Carl received a Bachelor of Science degree from the B.I. Moody III College of Business Administration. She majored in marketing.

• Nicole Marie Langlinais, is the daughter of Justin and Monica Langlinais of Erath. Langlinais received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of Liberal Arts. She majored in speech pathology and audiology.

• Karli Anne Sherman, daughter of Dr. Ken and Mrs. Anne Sherman of Albany, La. Sherman received a Bachelor of General Studies degree from the College of General Studies. She majored in General Studies with a concentration in Arts and Humanities.

• Jenna Elise Smith, daughter of Willard and Catherine Smith Jr. of Jennings. Smith received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of Liberal Arts. She majored in English.

• Simon Richard Wooster, son of Christopher and Elizabeth Wooster of Lafayette. Wooster received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of Liberal Arts. He majored in history.

Each semester the university recognizes its top graduates during Graduate School commencement exercises.
