Cinematic Arts Workshop Looking for Crawfish Stories

Published

The Breaux Bridge Crawfish Festival Association and the Cinematic Arts Workshop at UL Lafayette are seeking historical memorabilia (1959 to present) on all things crawfish to deposit into an online searchable archive. Of particular interest are stories, photographs, home movies, random mementos, awards and newspaper articles about both the Crawfish Festivals and the crawfish industry, from farming and harvesting to processing to cooking. Even ordinary anecdotes, jokes and personal memories concerning crawfish or the festival may provide important material for the researchers to record.

If you have a story or a photo that you would like to share for consideration, please email crawfisharchive@yahoo.com, or call 337-277-5292.

Drop-ins are welcome on the following days at The Coffee Break at 109 N. Main in Breaux Bridge: now through Monday, May 4 on Thursdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Thursdays from 5 to 7 p.m., and Mondays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
