Get ready for a week packed with Ragin' Cajun pride as Homecoming 2019 takes over campus.
Homecoming Week: Oct. 27-Nov. 2
Beginning Sunday, Oct. 27, UL Lafayette, the University Program Council and the UL Alumni Association will host events all week long, ending with the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns squaring off against the Texas State Bobcats at Cajun Field on Saturday, Nov. 2.
All of the following events are open to the public, and we invite all of Lafayette and south Louisiana to share in our school pride.
Sunday, Oct. 27
Homecoming Mass & Reception at Our Lady of Wisdom | A celebration of our Homecoming court and an official mass.
1 p.m. - 5 p.m.
Paint Your Pride Window Painting | Student organizations and UPC give the Student Union a splash of color.
Monday, Oct. 28
10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Homecoming Block Party | Homecoming is taking over St. Mary Boulevard! Shop with Red Dot Discount businesses and grab lunch from local businesses and food trucks.
10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Cupcake Giveaway at the Block Party | Meet this year's Homecoming Court and grab a sweet treet at the Alumni Center.
Tuesday, Oct. 29
Campus Scavenger Hunt | Meet on the Union Porch before spreading out across campus for a massive scavenger hunt. Teams and individuals welcome. No preregistration required—just show up!
Wednesday, Oct. 30
11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Wear Red, Get Fed & Campus Cupboard Donation Drive on Boucher Street | Wear your favorite Ragin' Cajuns gear and get free lunch from UPC. Drop off non-perishable food items to help local pantries.
Escape Room | Use clues to figure out how to escape from the Student Union ballroom.
Thursday, Oct. 31
Yell Like Hell on the Student Union Porch | Students bring the noise in a big way at this Homecoming Pep Rally. Catch the spirit at this night of music, performance, and Ragin' Cajuns fun.
Friday, Nov. 1
Bill Bass Open Golf Tournament | Join alumni and current and former UL Lafayette student-athletes for a four-person scramble golf tournament.
NPHC Greek Expo at the Cajundome Convention Center | Watch the NPHC fraternities and sororities strut at the step show.
Saturday, Nov. 2
Parking gates at Cajun Field open for reserved parking.
9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Open House at the Alumni Center | Stop by before the parade and connect with fellow alumni.
Homecoming Parade | Ragin' Cajun spirit is on the move as our students, alumni, and fans watch the parade roll down Johnston St. and St. Mary Blvd. Begins at Blackham Coliseum and ends by the Alumni Center.
Cajun Field ticket office opens | Purchase tickets at Cajun Field's LHC Gate C and at the main ticket booth at State Farm Gate A.
Tailgating at Cajun Field | Your chance to get pumped for the game. Alumni tailgating tent is set up outside Russo Park. Student tailgating is on the southeast end of Cajun Field.
Cajun Walk down Reinhardt Drive | Bring your ragin' spirit and wish the team good luck before the big game.
Cajun Field gates open | Stop by the Ragin' Cajuns apparel outlet inside Cajun Field before heading to your seat.
Band begins Ragin' March along Stadium Way | Join the Pride of Acadiana Marching Band in the fight song and the classic "R-E-S-P-E-C-T."
The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns football team begins on-field warm-ups.
