Dan Burkett

A native of Arizona, Dan Burkett was trained in architecture, receiving a B.S.D. at Arizona State University and a Master of Architecture at Rice University in Houston Texas. Dan currently lives in Lafayette, Louisiana, where he practices as a designer and maker and is a Master Instructor at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette School of Architecture and Design. As an educator and designer, Dan is interested in reconceptualizing common practices of materials in design and how systems thinking as a design and research/teaching strategy can lead to more responsive and responsible design.
