The Informatics Research Institute (IRI) is transforming communities through research in informatics and data science.
Our research focuses on areas including population health, public safety, community resilience, smart & connected community, and cybersecurity. The Center serves as a driver for optimization across five constituent centers:

- The Louisiana Center for Health innovation
- The Center for Visual & Decision Informatics
- The Center for Business and Information Technologies
- The National Incident Management Systems and Advanced Technologies
