Chemical Engineering

Department

Learn established and contemporary scientific and engineering principles in the Department of Chemical Engineering and prepare to find professional solutions in petroleum, biotechnology, and environmental process and manufacturing industries, along with consulting companies and with governmental agencies.

Gain mastery over chemicals through our hands-on experience making new chemicals, improving chemical use, managing energy systems, and destroying harmful chemicals. Get trained in engineering analysis, thermodynamics, transfer operations, corrosion, process simulation, and process heat transfer as a chemical engineering major.

Participate in our research projects with a total value of $1.5 million, and explore general and renewable energy solutions because we house the Energy Institute's main instrumentation laboratories and support the institute's research activities.
