Family Housing

Make UL Lafayette home for you and your family at the Cottages at Cajun Village.

The Cottages at Cajun Village apartments allow married couples and single parents to pursue an education while maintaining an affordable and convenient on-campus lifestyle.

This community offers all the amenities you’d expect from a traditional apartment complex within reach of everything UL Lafayette offers. That means quick access to academic halls, Dupré Library, campus dining, and social and recreation events — all with the added privacy and security that your family needs.

Best of all, students who choose family housing are enriched by a diverse community of like-minded individuals — fathers, mothers, husbands, and wives who share in your pursuits.

The Cottages at Cajun Village is located on the south end of campus, minutes from Girard Park and UL Lafayette’s Child Development Center. The complex is located in the Lafayette School District which includes Woodvale Elementary, L.J. Alleman Middle School, and Lafayette High School.

Rates for the Cottages at Cajun Village can be found on the Rates page. Please note that residents of the Cottages at Cajun Village do not need to purchase a Meal Plan. Once you move in, you will be billed on a semester-by-semester basis for a contracted period of one year. If you cannot pay your total housing costs at the beginning of each semester, you can choose to enroll in a payment plan. The payment plan, which is managed by the Student Cashier's office, lets you make smaller payments throughout the semester instead of one large payment at the beginning of the semester.
