  • All classifications: June 6, 2026

Check-In Time: 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Late Arrivals: Arriving outside these scheduled times should be coordinated with our office. The student will contact their building's RA on Duty to check in.

Summer Move-In Instructions

Residents will check in at their building or apartment community.

  • Agnes Edwards Hall: Lobby of the hall 
    • Address: 110 Rex St., Lafayette, LA 70503 
  • Legacy Park Apartments: Office located in E.A. Martin 
    • Address: 210 Girard Park Circle, Lafayette, LA 70503 
  • The Heritage Apartments: Clubhouse located in Building 2 
    • Address: 110 E. Lewis St. Lafayette, LA 70503 

After check-in, residents can begin to unload their belongings. Remember that you have 20 minutes to unload. There are no move-in boxes available for summer move-in, so you should bring your own dolly or cart to help bring your belongings to your room.

Agnes Edwards Hall

  • Residents should park in a parking spot along Rex Street, in the parking lot behind the library, or in the Smith Street parking lot behind the hall to unload. The area behind the library should be used for unloading purposes ONLY. 
  • You must park in a parking spot to unload. Do not park on Rex Street or block any construction areas. 
  • There is a small, privately-owned gravel lot behind the hall near the entrance of the basement. This area is not owned by the university, and residents should never park here, even for unloading. Violators will be towed.  
  • Parking in any handicap space requires an active handicap placard hanging on the rearview mirror. Violators will be cited. 

Legacy Park and The Heritage Apartments

  • Residents should park and unload at their building 
  • Do NOT park or idle in the fire lanes 
  • Parking in any handicap space requires an active handicap placard hanging on the rearview mirror. Violators will be cited.  

Be courteous to other Ragin' Cajuns and move your car to your designated parking area as soon as you are done unloading. 

After unloading, you should move your cars to your assigned parking area (you must purchase a summer parking permit to park in campus lots after move-in day)

  • Agnes Edwards Hall: Diagonal along Rex Street or the Smith Street Lot  
  • Legacy Park and The Heritage: park by your building 
  • Overflow parking at Girard Parking Tower 

All cars should be moved by the end of the day and parked in the student's permit area or assigned visitor spaces. For more information about resident parking, visit the Office of Transportation Services website.
