Usernames have changed! Passwords have not.

As part of the effort to phase out CLIDs across the University, all web ambassadors will now use ULIDs as their usernames. You’ll use your ULID instead of CLIDs to log in (or, if you were part of the first group of ambassadors, you will use your ULID instead of the firstname.lastname login you had originally).

As a refresher, your ULID looks like this: C00000000

And your CLID looks like this: abc1234

So use your ULID with the password you have been using to log in. The process of logging in is still the same: go to yoursitename.louisiana.edu/user and type in your ULID in the “Username” box.

But your password has not changed–it will stay the same as before!

You are still going to use the same password you used before when logging in to your site. It is not the same password you use with your ULID to log in to Zimbra or ULink. It is the password you’ve always used with your CLID to log in to your site.

If you want to change your password when you log in, you’ll have to log in with your ULID and original password, and then click on the “Edit” tab on the login screen.

Are there any exceptions?

Yes. If your site has not launched yet (i.e. it still looks like yoursitename.test.louisiana.edu), then you will continue to use your CLID to log in to make edits.

If you are a web ambassador for the main University website or for the University Housing website, then you will still use your CLID to log in. There are technical issues with the database on these sites, and that will be resolved in the coming weeks.

Still not working for you?
