Sites will be mobile starting Wednesday

On February 11, all University websites will be made mobile-friendly. That means ALL websites—including yours.

The mobile layout is designed to maximize user experience within the limited frame of screens. Analytics and user testing helped inform how the mobile sites should function.

Louisiana.edu was designed in a responsive theme originally, but we worked to customize the user experience so that people can move around the site easily and important information is at the top of the screen.

Moving forward, the usage data collected from analytics will inform any further developments of the mobile website.

If you have any questions about the new mobile layout or have concerns, please email me at aimee@louisiana.edu.

Interesting fact: More than 30 percent of Louisiana.edu visitors are on mobile devices.
