The new website has been live for a little over a month. Initial feedback was overwhelmingly positive and the launch went off without a hitch.

We thought you all might be interested in how the site has performed over the last month.

The following data analyzes the new website's performance between November 7 and December 7 with the same time period last year. This ensures that the metrics analyzed are in the same enrollment phase and takes the holidays into account.

Summary

Compared to the same time span in 2021:

  • There were 2,214 more clicks on the application
  • 98,872 more people visited the site
  • 465,034 more page views occurred

Clicks on the application

The application received 10,842 clicks over the course of the last month in 2022, compared to 8,628 in 2021 — an increase of 26% (more than 2,000 clicks) from the previous year.

Unique visitors

There were 178,550 unique visitors to the University’s website during its first month live compared to 79,678 during the same period of time in 2021 — an increase of nearly 99,000 visitors.

This is likely due to the initial news and social media promotions of the site as well as an increase in the number of email communications to students sent each week by Enrollment Management.

Page views

Visitors viewed 796,901 pages on the University’s website during its first month live compared to 331,867 during the same period of time in 2021 — an increase of nearly half a million page views.

This shows that users were more engaged with the new content. Of note, the pages we targeted for users — such as the application process and majors and minors — were in the top five pages viewed.
