Time to update your contact information

Now that the official University Post Office has moved to the Student Union, everyone has a shiny new box where their mail will arrive.Gif of Steve from Blues Clues singing and waving a letter around

And almost everyone's shiny new box has a shiny new number. If you want people to know where to send your mail, then you need to update your websites.

Now, remember: the mailing address will need to be updated in two places — your footer and your Contact Us page.

Edit Your Footer

If you have your PO Box in the footer, you'll need to edit that one. If you opted out of showing your PO Box information there, then just skip to the part about editing your Contact Us page.

To edit your footer, log in to your site and then scroll to the bottom of the page. Locate your contact information in the footer, which will be on the left hand side. If you're logged in, you'll be able to hover your mouse over the contact info and see something that looks like a gear or sprocket appear in the top right corner of the contact info. Click on that, and a drop-down menu will appear, and your only option will be to click "Edit box."

From there, a pop-up will show over the page and you can edit your PO Box number there. After you've put in the new number, scroll to the bottom of the window and click "Save." Now, your footer is updated!

Edit Your Contact Us Page

This one is way easier. For instructions on how to edit your Contact Us page, check out the tutorial on editing text.

PO Box Addresses on the University Website

Some PO Box addresses are listed on the main University website, so Aimee and Elizabeth will take care of those. If you see an error in the next few days anywhere on the main site, contact webcontent@louisiana.edu and we'll take care of it right away.

As always, if you have questions about how to edit your sites, feel free to contact me at webcontent@louisiana.edu or Sasha at training@louisiana.edu.
