Auditions Scheduled for Performing Arts

The University of Louisiana at Lafayette Department of Performing Arts announces its 2009 Theatre and Dance Departmental Interview/Auditions for Fall 2009 admittance.

Admission is a two-part process. To be considered for admission as a Theatre or Dance major, students must apply to the University as well as complete an Interview/Audition.

For Theatre students, auditions will be held at 1 p.m. on March 28. Students must provide a resume and headshot (if available) and prepare a 30-60 second monologue. For technical theatre, students should provide a resume along with work examples.

For dance students, auditions will be held at 1 p.m. on April 4. Students should provide a resume and headshot (if available). Students will work through a ballet barre followed by modern dance center floor and large movement across the floor.

Auditions will be held in McLaurin Hall on the UL Lafayette campus, with reservations required for all auditions. If you are unable to meet the dates provided, please call the Performing Arts office at: (337) 482-6357, to schedule a time.
