Earn your management degree at UL Lafayette and build the leadership, entrepreneurship, and problem-solving skills to succeed in any industry.
The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) in Management prepares you to lead — whether you want to start your own business, move into a management role, or continue on to graduate school. Management classes are kept small, so you'll get to know your professors, take an active part in class discussions, and learn from your classmates' experiences as well as your own. If you prefer to learn online, then explore our online management degree.
You Should Major in Management If...
- You like working with people and you're always the go-to person on group projects or in organizations.
- You want to start your own business or advance at an established company.
- You're ready to learn what makes businesses successful.
What You'll Learn
Management majors study the full range of responsibilities managers take on. Your coursework covers multinational management, accounting, business finance, and business ethics, with opportunities to explore entrepreneurial management, leadership, health care management, and collective bargaining. Along the way, you'll build skills in communication, sales, law, creative thinking, and problem-solving that carry into any industry.
Two courses anchor the major: Management of Behavior and Organizations (MGMT 320), which introduces the principles of management you'll use throughout your degree, and Strategic Management (MGMT 490), the capstone course you take in your final semester.

Learn Beyond the Classroom
Management majors put their skills to work in the community through social entrepreneurship projects, using the principles of management to design, launch, and run a fundraiser for a local charity. You can also earn course credit for on-the-job experience through the Moody Business Internship Program.
The Moody College of Business connects you with CEOs, managers, and other executives through events like Moody Business Week, company field trips, and resume and interview workshops. First-year students can also join the Business Secrets Living-Learning Community, living and taking classes with other students interested in starting and managing a business.
