Multicultural Greek Council (MGC)

The Multicultural Greek Council (MGC) at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette serves as the governing body for culturally based fraternities and sororities on campus. 

MGC fosters unity and cross-cultural understanding among its member organizations while promoting leadership, service, and academic excellence.

The council’s mission is to create and maintain welcoming spaces for all students by promoting multicultural awareness and collaboration. MGC supports its values through philanthropy, educational forums, and partnerships with other multicultural organizations on campus.

About

Delta Lambda Phi is a national fraternity providing dignified social, service, and recreational opportunities for gay, bisexual, and progressive men and nonbinary individuals. The UL Lafayette Provisional Chapter builds community through service, scholarship, and brotherhood while advocating for inclusion and equality within Greek Life and beyond.

Highlights & Achievements

  • Highest GPA Award (Spring 2018)
  • 1st Place Greek Week (Spring 2018)
  • Hosted Lafayette Drag Queen Story Time (2018–2019)
  • Co-founded UL Lafayette’s Multicultural Greek Council

Joining

Recruitment events are typically held at the start of each semester, though year-round interest is welcome. Members complete a New Member Education process and collaborate on a group service project. Dues: $300 (Fall) / $100 (Spring).

Meetings: Fridays at 4 p.m. (location varies)

Open to gay, bisexual, transgender, and progressive men and nonbinary individuals.
