Study Abroad & Other Opportunities in the School of Architecture & Design

We want to provide you with experiences beyond your local environment, so we have a number of special study opportunities for you both in the U.S. and abroad.

Study Across the U.S.

The School of Architecture and Design schedules trips across the country, including:

  • Architecture third-year studio: travel to Houston and Dallas
  • Architecture fourth-year studio: travel to New York City
  • Industrial Design students: travel to various cities for the annual International Design Conference
  • Interior Design students: attend SHIFT, the International Interior Design Association’s Student Conference in Dallas each winter
  • National Organization of Minority Architecture Students (NOMAS): attend the NOMA Annual Conference, held in a different city each year

Study Across the World

We make other countries our classrooms. 

The School of Architecture and Design offers study abroad options in Paris, France, and Florence, Italy. 

You can learn about different styles and the history of architecture and design while immersing yourself in the culture, cuisine, cities, and countryside for six weeks while earning credit towards your degree!
