Every semester, students can opt to withdrawal from a class with a grade of “W.” Dropping with a “W” will NOT affect your GPA and is the best option if you are at-risk of failing a course.
If you need to drop a class with a “W,” we suggest you meet with a professional advisor in the Academic Success Center to discuss the process of dropping a class and ensuring that other services you have with the University (TOPS, Financial Aid, Housing) will not be affected.
To meet with an advisor, you can stop by our office between 8 am and 4 pm (Monday-Thursday) and 8 am – 12 pm (Friday). Our office is in Lee Hall, room 115.
