Curriculum

  • Administration of the information systems function. Includes impact of the function, control of information systems resources, and evaluation of projects (cost/benefit analysis).

    Application of microeconomic tools to business decision making; topics include theoretical and empirical demand and cost functions, pricing under various market conditions and regulatory constraints, short run and long run planning, and domestic and international conditions influencing the firm’s profitability and growth.

    Capstone course. Emphasis is on integrated application of MBA core courses concepts. Problem analysis and decision making at an integrative level are stressed.

    Business application of multivariate methods, non-parametric methods, factor analysis, logistic regression, cluster analysis, and data mining procedures using a computer statistical package.

    Theory and practices including individual behavior, motivation, group dynamics, organizational structure, quality management, and leadership skills.

    Provides guidelines for developing marketing plans and programs while emphasizing the application of marketing concepts, tools, and decision making processes.

    Course provides a framework for understanding broad issues and analyzing specific topics which affect international business activities in an increasingly interdependent world. The course promotes a multi-disciplinary approach to integrating various facets of international business operations.

  • Elements necessary in an organization for effective administrative control are covered. Emphasis is on the “use” rather than the “supplying” of accounting data. Completion of MBA 500 or equivalent is required.

    Application of analytical techniques to the firm’s investment, financing, and dividend decisions in keeping with the objective of maximizing shareholder wealth.

    Understanding of investment objectives and security markets. Includes an analysis of stocks, bonds, options, and other derivatives as well as performance evaluation of a portfolio.

    Comprehensive study of the nature and role of financial markets and institutions in the U.S. economy in relation to production and consumption decisions.

This program consists of 33 credit hours, comprising 21 credit hours of core courses and 12 hours of concentration courses. There is no thesis requirement.
