What do you enjoy most about your role?

Dwan: I enjoy helping others reach their goal of earning a degree. It's an extra bonus to develop connections and celebrate with them as they walk across the stage to receive their degrees.

What advice would you give to a student in their first semester of an online program?

Dwan: Check your emails regularly, stay organized, and don't fall behind. If something unexpected occurs, reach out to your advisor or professor in a timely manner.

What is the most common question you get from online students?

Dwan: “Is the online program easier?” The answer is no — this program requires a lot of discipline and organization.

What is your favorite restaurant & thing to do in Lafayette?

Dwan: My favorite restaurants are Ruffino’s on the River and Zea Rotisserie & Bar. My favorite things to do are participate in and attend our local festivals and, of course, attend UL Lafayette athletic events. Go Cajuns!
