Internships & Career Pathways

Gain hands-on experience through nursing clinicals and health sciences internships at hospitals and health care agencies across Louisiana and the U.S.

Where Our Graduates Work

Graduates of the College of Nursing and Health Sciences make up the majority of the Acadiana workforce in nursing, health information management, and health services administration, and they are recruited by health care agencies throughout the United States.

  • Nursing: BSN graduates are eligible to apply for the NCLEX-RN licensure exam to become registered nurses. Graduate programs prepare advanced practice nurses, nurse executives, and nurse educators.
  • Health Information Management: Graduates are prepared to take the exam for the Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) credential, for roles such as health data analyst, insurance claims analyst, or patient information coordinator.
  • Health Services Administration: Graduates are prepared for entry- and mid-level administrative and operational positions in a variety of health care settings, or for a master's program.
