Schedule of Classes

The  Schedule of Classes is a resource to help your decision-making and planning on which courses to take and at what times.

The Office of the University Registrar releases the schedule one week prior to the official advising period for the term.

As the maintenance of the Schedule of Classes is a dynamic process, classes, instructors, times, and availaibility is subject to change. The schedule is ever evolving as departments make adjustments to section availability, section details, etc.

  • The University reserves the right to cancel  sections of classes in cases of under-enrollment.
  • Instructor and the designated days/times listed are subject to change. Please check your schedule frequently.

Note: The Schedule of Classes is created in collaboration with the departments/Academic Dean's office. Course availability is at the descretion of the department. Should you have any questions regarding course availability, class size, overrides - please contact the department of the course.

Course Material Codes

As a result of Act 125/SB117, Louisiana’s postsecondary public colleges and universities are required to highlight each course included in its course schedule that exclusively utilizes AER or OER course materials.

  • Affordable Educational Resource (AER): A single or collection of required educational resources that may be offered at no or low cost to a student through a post-secondary education institution or an affiliated college bookstore at a pre-sales tax cost to a student that does not exceed an amount equal to four times the federal minimum wage. AER includes copyright-protected material purchased by a library and provided to a student at no cost.

  • Open educational resource (OER): Teaching, learning, or research resource that is in the public domain or has been released under an intellectual property license that permits the free use, adaptation, and redistribution of the resource by any person. The term may include full course curricula, course materials, modules, textbooks, media, assessments, software, and any other tools, materials, or techniques, whether digital or otherwise, used to support access to knowledge.

  • Neither AER/OER (NTR): This description/code is utilized when a course section has not been identified as either AER or OER.
