Review Steps to Apply

When you submit a FAFSA, you are applying for Pell Grants, SEOG Grants, GO Grants, Direct Stafford Student Loans, PLUS Loans, and Federal Work-Study.

The FAFSA also serves Louisiana residents as the recommended application for TOPS.

If you file an application after the deadline, you should be prepared to make personal arrangements to pay for all university charges in the event that your disbursement is not ready for registration. The University’s award year includes fall, spring, and summer semesters.

Complete the FAFSA as soon as October 1 each year to ensure the maximum award.
