Association Events

The Golden Reunion is an annual event held in conjunction with the spring semester graduation. It is a two day event in which the Alumni Association honors the graduating class that has their 50 year graduation anniversary. During the two days, events are planned that bring back the graduating class to campus to relive campus moments, renew friendships and reunite with fellow alumni.

Celebrate the magic of the season at the UL Lafayette Alumni Association's Sonic Christmas Parade Open House! Bring the whole family to the Alumni Center for one of Lafayette's favorite holiday traditions, featuring a front-row view of the Sonic Christmas Parade, festive snacks, games, holiday activities, and photos with Santa. It's the perfect place to make cherished holiday memories while enjoying Christmas cheer with fellow Ragin' Cajuns in a warm, family-friendly atmosphere.

Nothing says Louisiana quite like crawfish season! Each spring, the UL Lafayette Alumni Association partners with our clubs, chapters, networks, and affiliated groups to host crawfish boils that bring Ragin' Cajuns together through one of our favorite traditions. Whether reconnecting with old friends or making new ones, these gatherings are filled with great food, lively conversation, and plenty of Cajun spirit. It's the perfect way to celebrate our shared heritage while strengthening the connections that make the Ragin' Cajun community so special.

Presented in partnership with the UL Lafayette School of Music, the Le Salon Concert Series offers an intimate evening of exceptional live performances in the elegant setting of the Alumni Center. Featuring talented faculty, students, alumni, and guest artists, each concert showcases a unique musical theme while celebrating the artistry and excellence of UL Lafayette's renowned music program. Whether you're a devoted music enthusiast or simply looking for a memorable cultural experience, Le Salon is a beautiful way to connect with the arts and the Ragin' Cajun community.

Go behind the scenes of some of Louisiana's most innovative businesses and iconic brands through the UL Lafayette Alumni Association's Louisiana Made Tour Series. These exclusive experiences give alumni a unique look at the people, industries, and companies shaping our state while reconnecting with fellow Ragin' Cajuns. Past tours have included TABASCO®, Stuller, First Solar, JT Meleck Distillers, and ACE Specialties, with new destinations added each year. We're always looking for exciting places to showcase, making every Louisiana Made Tour a fresh opportunity to explore, learn, and celebrate the businesses that make Louisiana proud.

Each year, the UL Lafayette Alumni Association proudly partners with The Big Event to unite Ragin' Cajuns in a shared day of service. While students make an impact across Acadiana, our alumni clubs and chapters extend that spirit of service to communities across the country by organizing volunteer projects in the regions they call home. From community beautification efforts to supporting local nonprofits, these initiatives give alumni meaningful opportunities to serve together, strengthen their local communities, and demonstrate that the Ragin' Cajun commitment to giving back reaches far beyond campus.

No matter where life takes you, there's a Ragin' Cajun community waiting to welcome you. Our regional clubs, special interest chapters, and alumni networks host a wide variety of events throughout the year, bringing alumni together across Louisiana, the nation, and around the world. With each group hosting at least two events annually, there are countless opportunities to build new connections, reconnect with old friends, expand your professional network, and celebrate your Ragin' Cajun pride wherever you call home.

The UL Lafayette Alumni Association begins building lifelong connections long before graduation. Through a variety of current student-focused traditions and celebrations, we recognize milestones, honor achievements, and welcome students into the global Ragin' Cajun alumni family. From Ring Release and Ring Ceremony to Outstanding Graduate recognition, the International Student Graduate Ceremony, Philanthropy Cord and Exceptional Service Awards, Association of Future Alumni events, and more, these programs celebrate the students who are the heartbeat of our University while fostering a lifelong connection to their alma mater.
