Today’s Town Hall
Dear faculty and staff,
Thank you to everyone who participated in today’s town hall, both in person and virtually, regarding proposed changes to University payroll.
I appreciate the thoughtful questions, candid feedback and constructive engagement. Throughout these discussions, I have been reminded once again how deeply our campus community cares about one another, our students and the future of this University.
Today’s conversation was an important step in an ongoing process. We shared the approaches currently under consideration, discussed the principles guiding our work and outlined the next steps we will take before any final decisions are made.
As I shared during the town hall, we will continue gathering feedback, reviewing options and working toward a solution that supports faculty, staff and graduate students while minimizing disruption. The concerns, questions and perspectives shared today will help inform our work moving forward.
One of my biggest takeaways from these discussions is the importance of communicating earlier, transparently and more proactively as we consider significant changes that affect our campus community – and that is what we will do.
Presentation slides from today’s town hall are available here.
Thank you again for your engagement and continued dedication to our students and the University.
Sincerely,
Dr. Ramesh Kolluru
President
