Leadership Transition in Louisiana Athletics

Dear faculty and staff,

I want to share an important leadership update regarding Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns Athletics.

Dr. Bryan Maggard, vice president for Intercollegiate Athletics, has accepted a position at the University of Missouri after nine years of dedicated service to our University. During his tenure, Louisiana Athletics reached remarkable milestones, and our student-athletes achieved success in competition and in the classroom.

In the coming months, we will recruit our next athletics leader – an executive who will join our leadership team and the athletics staff in strengthening Louisiana Athletics, expanding financial support and enhancing the experience and success of our student-athletes.

Trey Frazier, deputy athletics director and executive director of the Ragin’ Cajuns Athletic Foundation, will serve as interim athletics director. He brings a proven record of strengthening relationships with our fans, supporters and community, and that experience will serve Louisiana Athletics well during this transition.

Please join me in congratulating Bryan on this well-deserved opportunity and thanking him for his service to our University and the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns.

Sincerely,

Dr. Ramesh Kolluru
President
