Where I'm Going

My next step is to apply to an Electrical Engineering Ph.D. program.

Gabriel Roy, originally from Lafayette, LA, is currently pursuing his Master of Science in Electrical Engineering at UL Lafayette. With a strong foundation in Electrical Engineering from his undergraduate studies at UL Lafayette, where he graduated in 2022, Gabriel seamlessly transitioned into the master's program.

Gabriel's journey in academia has been marked by a fervent passion for research and hands-on experience. During his undergraduate years, he delved deeply into research, particularly focusing on vehicle-to-vehicle communications and the impact of mobility on such systems. His dedication led him to collaborate with esteemed Ph.D. scholars, honing his skills in reconfigurable hardware for FPGA.

Opting to pursue graduate studies was a natural progression for Gabriel, who was drawn to the close-knit academic community and research opportunities at UL Lafayette. Under the mentorship of Dr. Bayoumi, Gabriel has thrived in the VLSI Lab, actively participating in cutting-edge projects and benefiting from Dr. Bayoumi's extensive network.
