Career Opportunities

Explore internships, industry connections, and career support for UL Lafayette economics, finance, and insurance and risk management majors.

In the Department of Economics & Finance, career preparation starts long before graduation. You can manage a real investment portfolio, complete your own economics research, or build a risk management proposal for a real business, so you'll finish your degree with real work to point to, not just coursework.

Along the way, you'll meet the people who hire in your field. Industry leaders and alumni speak to student organizations like the Risk Management & Insurance Society, and internships put you inside banks, insurers, and businesses while you're still in school. Whether you're planning your first internship or preparing for your first job, here's where to start.
