UL Lafayette College of the Arts Presents “Chairsgiving” Exhibition and Fundraiser

The University of Louisiana at Lafayette College of the Arts, in collaboration with IDI Workspaces, is proud to present Chairsgiving, a unique exhibition and fundraiser featuring custom-painted chairs by UL Lafayette alumni and local artists. The exhibition will be on view in the Fletcher Hall Gallery from October 13 through November 13, 2025, culminating in a Closing Reception on Thursday, November 13, from 6–8 p.m.

Chairsgiving brings together creativity, community, and collaboration. Each participating artist has transformed a chair provided by IDI Workspaces into a one-of-a-kind work of art, celebrating design, craftsmanship, and artistic expression. The event showcases the diverse talents of UL Lafayette’s creative community while supporting the College of the Arts.

The exhibition features work by:

Megan Barra, Haidee DeRouen, Michael Eble, Dirk Guidry, Hannah Gumbo, Tommy Hughes, Brooke Hoogendoorn, Peter Klubek, Randy Leblanc, Kathy Mere, Terez Molitor, Jessica Moore, Kali Picard, Gwen Richard, Angela Riehl, Kelly Russo, Lue Svendsen, Tabby Stone, James Van Way, Jeromy Young, and Anthony Xanamane.

Attendees can view the exhibition in person or participate in the online auction, where all proceeds will directly support the UL Lafayette College of the Arts. Each custom-painted chair is available for bid, offering art lovers and design enthusiasts a chance to own a truly original piece while contributing to arts education and programming.
